The Sassafras Creek urgently needs the help of people in our
community!
Why? Environmental weeds are invading, smothering the natural
vegetation and degrading its habitat, and litter and waste water
come from the road drains and cause erosion. The Sassafras Creek
Reserve is too precious to let this happen!
Our activities include: Seed collection and propagation; planting of seedlings; weed removal; track work and building; walks; community events; displays and educational programs; and applications for grants to various institutions, to
help us with our work.
Our activities make a significant contribution to improving
the reserve.
Every little bit counts! Can you help? Remove weeds from your
garden and come and help us for a couple of hours a month!!!
You will be investing in the preservation of your local forest
reserve!
The ‘Friends of Sassafras Creek’ formed in 1990
and meet for a working bee on the 4th Sunday of the month 10am
to 12.30pm followed by a cuppa!
So, by joining us you will...
